David Boyajian contributes a song to the Armenian Poetry Project




David A. Boyajian is a physician living in Manhattan. He is an American-born Sepasdatsi and maintains an avid avocational interest in Western Armenian culture and folk music.

Stacy's Tree

Հայրաբար հսկման հանդարտ անմիջականութիւնը տենչալով,
Stacy-ին ծառը խնամեցի, եւ իր մեկնումը յիշեցի:
Ես ու ծառը միասին այժմու գիտակցութեամբ բզզելով,
Stacy-ին ծառը խնամեցի, եւ վերադարձը սպասեցի:

Coveting the tranquil immediacy of father-like vigil,
I tended Stacy’s tree and recalled her leaving.
The tree and I together buzzing with consciousness of the now,
I tended Stacy’s tree and anticipated her return.
